چکیده

In the present work, composite materials were prepared from coconut shell powder, palm kernel and epoxy resin. The addition of powder was considered when preparing samples, mechanical properties such as tensile strength, hardness, impact, bending physical behavior water absorption, well morphological tests, conducted using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope, Thermogravimetric Analysis for both material boards chipboard. minimal variation stress percentage elongation between 50 % wooden chipboard is 4,44 MPa 1,00 %, respectively, according to findings experimental tests. The lowest compressive hardness variations are found be 0,14 3,2 MPa, respectively. It determined that made waste powders resin suitable applications panel boards, automotive interior dashboards, roof sheets, doors.

Enhanced Thermal, Mechanical and Morphological Properties of CNT/HDPE Nanocomposite Using MMT as Secondary Filler

This study explains the influence of secondary filler on the dispersion of carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced high density polyethylene (HDPE) nanocomposites (CNT/HDPE). In order to understand the mixed-fillers system, Montmorillonite (MMT) was added to CNT/HDPE nanocomposites. It was followed by investigating their effect on the thermal, mechanical and morphological properties of the aforesaid n...

Effect of Coconut Oil, Coconut Water and Palm Kernel Oil on Some Biochemical Parameters in Albino Rats

The coconut oil, coconut water and palm kernel oil was administered orally at a dose of 400mg/kg body weight to white albino rats to check for some effect on biochemical parameters. Twenty (20) rats divided into four (4) groups of five (5) rats each. One group was treated with distilled water and feed only serving as control, second group was treated with coconut water only while the third grou...

Palm kernel fruit fiber reinforced gypsum-cement based wall panels: It’s physical and mechanical characteristics

Agricultural waste fibers have been found to be suitable as reinforcement in cement-based composites, but studies on oil palm fiber as reinforcement in gypsum-cement wall panels are scarce. A mixture of two equal weights of gypsum and cement, with water-binder ratios of 0.45 and 0.55 were prepared. In each mix a varying percentage of fiber contents of 2%, 3% and 4% by weight of the binders were...

Mechanical, thermal and morphological properties of poly(lactic acid)/epoxidized palm olein blend.

Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is known to be a useful material in substituting the conventional petroleum-based polymer used in packaging, due to its biodegradability and high mechanical strength. Despite the excellent properties of PLA, low flexibility has limited the application of this material. Thus, epoxidized palm olein (EPO) was incorporated into PLA at different loadings (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 wt%...
